Ordered a sleep number bed-Have questions???

So yesterday I ordered a sleep number bed. I hope it allows me to sleep better. I do have a couple of questions for those that put one in their RV's. I have a 2017 GD Reflection 303 RLS.

It says to drill 2 1" holes for the pump and hoses. Do I do that where the storage compartment is or in front of it?
Where to you keep your pump? My power is at the head of the bed.

I don't want to be drilling holes all over the place.

Thanks
Arnold
  • Wait until your bed arrives and see how it plays out before you start drilling.
Our pump is at the head of the bed...(we have 2 Sleep Number beds.)

The instructions that come with the bed are excellent...
  • We had our new bed delivered last week, they didn't drill holes any where.
  • At the head of the bed on the platform I drilled two 2" holes that aligned with the hosed coming off the bed at the top edge along it's bottom. If that makes sense!

I placed the pump under the bed all the way to the front and added an outlet in a junction box that was under there for the washer. That was on our last DRV. This one I had them add the outlet under the bed.

Really is a no brainer once you look at the bed.
  • I just installed my Sleep Number in my TT. My bed runs lengthwise of the TT with closets on both sides. Cut 2 1" holes between the bed andthe closet, also a 3/8" hole under the closet door (AC). Pump is in the closet, if you run the hoses under the bed you can leave a gap to accommodate. I used 1/2" fatigue mats from HF for a base under the bed.
