Forgot to mention in the above, I negotiate the price and terms for everything else besides an RV also.
As a Rancher and truck business owner, over the years, I have bought dozens of cars, trucks, tractors, ranch equipment, machinery, etc., and even the purchase price of the two ranches that I own. I don't pay any attention to any added fees, or even the original asking price. I sit down with the dealer and we negotiate the total terms, including price, for any purchase and if we do not get an agreement I walk. I do the same thing at auctions. There I bid what is a fair prie for me and it someone bids higher they get it. I sell cattle every year at auction and the buyers use the same process bidding on my cattle so I believe that we are fair all around. I have walked numerous times but always get an agreement eventually with a dealer for what I want. It is not always the original contacted dealer but eventually both the dealer and me are satisfied with the sale.
