Outcome of Toy Hauler Search
Here is some info on our TH search and choice. We've owned a lot of campers and fifth wheels over the years.
I researched for about a year. We looked at nearly every brand and liked things about all of them. In the end I didn't want to pass the 40' mark due to some of the places we go. I was tempted by the larger floor plans (and triple axle) but didn't bite.
We ended up with a Grand Design Momentum 350M. I've already taken it to NC and GA Mountains, and local trips. Couldn't be happier with it. We have one kid in bunk area (garage) and one in living room loft.
All three AC's work as described when using 50AMP. The energy management system is working and kicked in several times during extreme heat. We used the generator multiple times at rest stops to eat lunch with AC. One key for all locks is super convenient.
I had newer GY G614's on old coach and put them on the new Grand Design.
Only bug I've discovered so far is the fridge location. The way the slides close make it nearly impossible to leave doors open to vent when in storage. It can be done but not with ease. Going to try damp rid or something unless a 350 owner has an idea.
A golf cart will be going in the back soon. We use our coach a lot and our boys are not easy on them. I'll update in the future as to how it holds up.
