outside TV ideas?

We just bought our first 5th wheel and the one option I didn't get was an outside TV. It's a Keystone Avalanche 355RK with a huge front storage bay. Does anyone make a retractable TV mount for the storage bay? I really don't want to mount a pad on the outside of the trailer and hang the TV. I would rather just fold it in, close the door, and go inside.
Thanks
  • We bought a foldable table from Sam's and set it up outside by the plug and just stick the TV on it.

Howdy. Two ways to go about it. If you are OK with using a piece of Velcro you can just use a residential swing out wall mount available at Walmart or other retailers. If you want something with a built in fastening system then you can consider something from these folks. Our is the Velcro version but honestly we rarely remember to put it on. Our outside entertainment centre also contains a fridge and stereo. We use the fridge and stereo occasionally but often use the TV for news in the afternoon or early evening. One of our most used outside additions.
  • Dont be a Richard .....Wyo !

We have a 32" we just set on a table to watch! While traveling it lays on the bed.
  • Agree with and do the same as Navy Chief. Mine travels on the bed, then moved to storage area when set up. You should have power in your storage area, then get an HDMI splitter and run from your receiver. Good luck, KB

There are any number of swival and hinge TV Monitor mounts you can use where one end will be mounted on the inside wall and then you can swing the whole TV Monitor out through the opened RV Storage door. These mounts will have the standard VESA TV mounts on the other end to support your TV Monitor.

Something like this mount should be what you need to look for.

These would be available from most TV stores like WALMART and of course plenty to look at on AMAZON.com

Typical Install to the inside wall of the storage bay might look something like this...

  • I'm sure that Morryde will have something. They make some great stuff. Morryde.com
  • WOW...great way to answer someone's legit question.

I just Googled "outside tv mounts for rv" and several options came up.
  • I keep my flat screen on the bed when we are not camping. I would not want anything to move and hit the screen.
