First have a great trip and welcome to the world of fivers. If you are traveling 400 to 450 miles a day for five days you will be tired at the end of the day. Take a look at the map and or campground guides and decide what area you want to stop at for the night. It does not hurt to call various campgrounds in the those area and don't for state or federal CG's also. You will then have an idea of price and if in fact they may or may not have sites during the time you are taveling. My wife and I have done that she drives the car and I drive the truck routine when we snowbirded. It works out well but stay in contact. When we overnight I don't usually drop the front gear. I will try to level side to side and with my rig that only requires a board or two. If you hook up to power your frig will work with no issues. Open the slides it will not hurt anything. Yes the coach will roack a little but not much. Hook up power, water, cable sewer or whatever that make life a little more enjoyable. In the morning unhook and hit the road. Remember that you are self contained so you don't have to spend extra money on more expensive campgrounds with more amenities. You really only want someplace clean with good power and water. Through the years I have stayed at a number of 2 & 3 stars overnight and they were just fine. State parks are great also but sometimes off the beaten path. Enjoy the life.
