PA. Ez pass
Does anyone have an ez pass from pa? From what I understand I will need a commercial pass because of towing my trailer. What happens to my charges if I am not towing anything? Do they know that it is ...

Get your ez pass from Massachusetts and save yourself some money.
I guess it depends where you are using it. Only PA EZ-passes get the discount in PA, everyone else gets billed the cash rate.
Interesting article about the different states here - http://articles.dailypress.com/2014-01-14/features/dp-nws-ezpass-comparison-20140114_1_pennsylvania-turnpike-tolls-west-virginia
Not true... Any E-ZPass gets the discounted rate. My E-ZPass is from Massachusetts and I get the same discounted rate (Bedford to Pittsburgh on the last use; $7.60 for my E-ZPass vs. $10.75 for cash). The Massachussetts E-ZPass is cheaper, or it used to be, to obtain. No monthly or annual fees for any number of transponders if you use a Credit Card for automatic maintenance of the account balance and it replenishes the account in $25.00 chunks. I'm not sure what the "tip" point is for replenishment; my account showed a balance of 72 cents before it replenished to $25.00. It charged my card $24.28 to bring it up to the $25.00 mark. I have three transponders; 1 for the car (2 axles) and two for my truck, 1 for the truck solo and the second one is registered for the truck and my 5th wheel. I could "trust" the system to count my axles, but, having the transponder pre-programmed for the truck and 5er (the second transponder for the truck registered for 4 axles) just gives me additional peace of mind that it gets the number of axles correct. In the 8 years I've had them, I've never had an error when using the correct transponder.
