I think that same system is used in the Tesla toy haulers, I noted that it plays the same video on the small screen and the connected tv. I don't remember who made it.
If you can find out the manufacturer from his, we can look for a manual online to figure it out.
As for the sat/cable setup, I gather that you connected the RF (coax) chan 3 output from your sat box to his sat input? The sat input is normally intended to take the output from the sat antenna and run it to the sat input on a sat box.
If you are running an RF output from your sat box to his trailer, you need to connect to the antenna/cable input on his trailer and then turn his TV to channel 3.
