Great stuff. My only question is why did you need to purchase two surge protectors? ...
Maybe being a bit overly cautious. The 30 amp (which I'm using at home) is a Hughes Autoformer Power Watchdog. It has one really nice feature that sold me on it. It has Blue Tooth technology that syncs to your cell phone with constant read out on power usage. Considering the camper is a 50 amp camper, I can watch the power usage at home as we use different appliances, heat, air conditioning, and what not. And I did discover it's very, very easy to exceed 30 amps in this camper. Really, it was money well spent.
The 50 amp has the readouts only at the device. Considering it's portable, used at the pole, it's not very practical to run in and out and check it all the time. The 50 amps should run everything in the camper when plugged into a 50 amp power source.
I know, my logic is probably very strange, but it does provide protection for the camper and power usage I actually understand.
