DS, I think I can confidently say that your particular floorplan was designed by someone who has never, EVER camped a single day in a FW, let alone towed one off the factory lot, if even that. While you've got a beautiful rig, the stuff you've had to do to make it =usable= for its intended purpose is just, just, DUMB! Doors that won't stay shut during transport? I remember seeing campers 40 years ago that had push-button locks on the handles to keep this from happening; for you to have to install child-proof locks, is ludicrous.
I have the same issue with the siting of the control panel in my KZ, except mine is too =low=. I have to sit on the steps going up to the bath and bed to see, and operate, it. The light over the lav sink is =only= switched on the fixture, which is on the ceiling. My 5'4" wife can =just= reach it; my 5'2" granddaughter can't reach it at all, so has to use a step stool, or a flashlight. Same with the toilet light; only switched at the fixture. For now, I use a couple tap-lights that I happened to have.
