If you can control your travel times, then avoid AM and PM rush hour times for the most part..
It's been this way since pretty much.. Forever.... Way back when I was going coast to coast back in the 80's hauling stuff as a job, I'd always avoid rush hour times going thru major cities whenever possible..
Sometimes, that didn't work out with the time schedule, so you just have to deal with it... It's called life.. :)
The WAZE app for phones works pretty good, but again, you are on the road and so are others, so no guarantee ever.. :)
