Pee trap

I have noticed a foul smell in my fifth wheel. All sinks have a pee trap, but the shower does not. Is there supposed to be a pee trap installed in the shower?

LOL.. pee trap. Interesting take on P trap.

    AMEN.
  • Can you see the shower drain line from bottom of shower down to top of tank?
Or is it hidden behind one of them false walls/panels in basement compartment?

Bathroom sink and shower drains in your rig probably tie together and use a common 'P' trap.

You should also have 'air admittance valves' under kitchen sink and bathroom sink AFTER the 'P' traps to keep them from sucking dry when you drain grey waste tank(s).
IF they don't seal correctly stink from grey tank will get inside RV.

    GREY stinks......sometimes worst than black.

How old is your RV. Newer models don't use a P trap on the shower. Rather they have moved to a HepvO valve. It looks like this:

And you DON'T want to try running a snake through one of these as you'll break it.

Trapped Pee? - Maybe time for an RV PSA test..:@

Could the shower *without* a P-trap (or a Pee trap, ROTFL) have a faulty HepvO valve - and be admitting odors from the gray tank?

IMO - might be worth investigating *before* paying for a visit to a repair facility.

How expensive to buy a replacement?
    How difficult to replace it?

    Good luck with your P-problem..;)

  • If the odor you smell is of rotten eggs (sulphur) when you nest use your rig, put some blue holding tank tank powder or liquid in the GREY tank in addition to the Black tank.

I only had that smell one time and this treatment works.
