if you can find a class its well worth it, hunting dogs usually have their "nose to the ground" and are not normally afraid of snakes.
Ryder had his nose down and sniffing everything he could find until He ran across the snake, He and I both knew something wasn't right and He is still with Us today because of the training. The only thing I would change was a shorter leash, He was on a 25" leash instead of the normal length. Yes I know I would have been closer to the snake, but I would have been in better control of the dog.
