Pics of set up adjustment needed?

I have a carrier box on mine also. Mine is mounted in a 2 inch receiver on a custom frame mounted hitch. I carry a 4000w gen. and 10 gallons of gas on mine. 2 diferent fifth wheels and thousands of miles and no problems handleing or balance. I also double pull from time to time and the trailer has 200 pounds+ of tonge weight.

I see an easy fix for you. Ford had a TSB for the SD where the 4" blocks on the rear axle were swapped out to 2" blocks to gain clearane for 5ers. That would lower the bed height by 2". The truck looks hiney high to me in the first pic. Any spring shop could do it pretty cheaply if you don't want to mess with it

Thanks for all your concerns but I assure you they aren't warranted. I had the carrier just as pictured on my previous TT for 3 years with no problems. I was amazed at how sturdy it was when I put it on. If you look close you can see the braces on the bottom of the carrier. They really make it sturdy and take all the bounce out of it. I have carried fire wood, my leveling blocks and even a foldup BBQ grill. Maybe Coachmen just makes their bumpers sturdier! Thanks, John

That box is scary as reply above only good for pool noodles

sure hope you don't carry anything more than packing noodles in that carrier...crazy amnt. of leverage on that bumper!

I doubt he has a warranty on a 2004. 5th wheels are more stable than a TT, should be fine with the box in the back.

He already has 7" of clearance. By raising the pinbox he would only have 5", too close IMHO.

You are correct, it would lower the nose.

How much clearance do you have between the truck bed and trailer? I wouldn't lower the nose if it puts you less than 6".
