You would be amazed at how still they are with them riding on the pin box. They are easily loaded there, as you just set them in the truck and put them on the rack. All you have to do is see another 5er with bikes on the back, and how they bounce, to understand. I knew, before I ever had a 5er, that's where I wanted to carry mine. I am leaning to go with the rack on the pin box. I agree it is nice to be able to see them. I need to go look at some racks in person to decide how to proceed.
