I may be cheap, and/or dumb. It looks like it is barely rubbing and only in pitched turns. I would be inclined to add one or two of the round white teflon or plastic spacers and just keep an eye on it. Grinding would be a last resort.
Don't feel too abused. I have RV dealers all around me. Nobody says anything good about any of them. I use a local home handyman to do many of my repairs.
