I was thinking of getting a new pin box myself but think I talked myself out of it and will go for the air ride hitch instead.
If you are dealing with chucking, I would be very interested in hearing how the "air ride hitch" works out. We are always looking for options.
I dont have any chucking I was just looking for a better ride. I thought about the air pinbox but thought if I got a trailsaver or other air ride hitch I wont have to worry about what fiver I have. If I go with the air pinbox, with my luck I will trade in the fiver and it wont fit the new one and will have to buy another. With the hitch I figured it was just a one time purchase and whatever fiver I have it will work.
Gotcha. I have seen other people go that route too. Still always want to hear how the new system works.
We figured that this was our last 5th, if not forever, for a very long time, and our chucking was horrendous. Had to do something.
I wasn't even familiar with chucking until this 5th. Or last, an 1988 Jayco 28ft towed by a 1988 F150 (way overweight I am sure) with a the cheapest, over the wheel well hitch, never was this bad. All about the combination, like Ryan says.
Good luck to you both.
