pin jacks needed ?
just ordered a new 5th wheel and im trying to identify extras needed .... i noticed not everyone uses a jack under their pin ......is it needed ?

The tripod under the pin box is NOT a "jack", it is a stabilizer, and is not designed to support the front of the trailer, or a whole lot of weight for that matter. Many of us have found that cross arm style stabilizers on the front landing gear do a better job of removing the shake in the trailer as you walk about. They do not require storage, since they stay attached to the landing gear, and frame and are easier to set up. A good set will cost you a little more than the tripod, but are well worth the investment.
