Picking up our new fifth wheel on Saturday. First time fifth wheel owners. I was wondering when adding weight to the fifth wheel does this also add weight to the pin? I assume it will. Is there a way ...

Why don't you post exactly what truck you have???
A newer 2500 has basically same ratings as my 2007 3500
RAWR/Rear Tire Load Ratings are more important then that 'payload' number which is based on truck mfg. GVWR which is used for 'Class' distinction (Class i, Class II etc)
So post up the actual truck....year/model/engine 4x2/4x4 etc
