place to stay in DC area

Going to DC area in Oct. and will visit the Tomb of the Unknown, other monuments, and Smithsonian. looking for something close to their public transportation. Don't know anything about the area.
  • Cherry Hill. The bus stops at the campground, takes you to the Metro which takes you into DC. The campground office will assist with all tourist info. Once in DC, hop on the trolleys. Cherry Hill is in College Park MD if you want to check the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com

  • Stayed in Cherry Hill this time last year. Great campground easy access to the city.
  • We stayed on FT. Meade and drove to Union Station and parked there.
  • We stayed at Cherry Hill in May. We drove our car a short ways to the subway station, parked there in a safe lot, and took the subway. A person at Cherry Hill explains your transit options when you arrive.
  • You also have the option to stay out of the city and travel to one of the MARC Trains that run M-F. Gettysburg CG's are about 30 minute ride to the Frederick MD Marc Stations. Or the KOA in Harpers Ferry WV would put you 8 miles from the MARC Train station in Brunswick. There also is a Brunswick CG, Basic by the river right near the Train Station. Cherry Hill is you closest. Just depends on where you would like to stay.

Cherry Hill is right on the Metro Line into town...

I agree, Cherry Hill is your best bet.
