We stay at http://www.americamps.com/ near Richmond and then make the rest of the trip the next day - either the outer banks or Myrtle beach.
If you want to cut the trip up more then stop at Jellystone campground in Hagerstown, MD. Nice large RV sites - pull throughs.
We travel south via I81 and I95. Your route may be a little different - getting to I81 or I95.
