Ok now what type of problem if any does the plumbing that seems to go thru the underneath storage places in most models pose? DH thinks that it is the craziest thing cause he is afraid while traveling...

Maybe a pic or two of the area so we could make suggestions of how to "protect" the exposed lines. You may be able to tie them up out of the way with zip strips or protect them with some of the foam plumbing insulation.
