Plumbing?
Ok now what type of problem if any does the plumbing that seems to go thru the underneath storage places in most models pose? DH thinks that it is the craziest thing cause he is afraid while traveling...

I tend to agree with him that it's a crazy thing to have the drain from the toilet/ shower/ sink run right through the middle of the storage space;
HOWEVER, there are probably a million or more 5th wheels out there with this arrangement, and no problems.
Avoiding that setup would require either moving the bathroom to one of the lower sections of the 5er, or eliminating a big part of the storage space.
Now I wouldn't recommend putting a 100 lb metal tool box where it could bump against the drain, but otherwise it is a non-issue.
