I believe this, but isn't it amazing when you order a new truck, the manufacturer only gives you a credit of about $900.00 for the "Bed Delete" option?
Bruce - FLY_4_FUNExplorerI believe mine was under comprehensive claim. Cost just shy of 10k to fix the bed side, tailgate, roll and lock and spray in bed liner in 09. My premiums didn't technically go up but I lost my "claim free" status thus increasing what I paid. 6 years later I now have my claim free status back. Reese 16k slider has a safety latch for a reason!!! Hard lesson to learn.

You can be hit with premium charges in many states for comp claims.
This would fall under collision. Yes you can file a claim and yes it would be covered.
.........Thanks ! I filed a claim with Geico on line , they will send an adjuster out next week . Then I'll take it to a couple of body shops and get estimates !,jf - AridonExplorerYou can be hit with premium charges in many states for comp claims.

when it gets fixed does it really matter where it's covered?
I think it does. A comprehensive claim is not considered a chargeable (at fault) incident and a collision claim is, as regards a premium adjustment. - azdryheatExplorerHave a sit-down with your agent. Only he knows what is covered in your policy. Only your agent would know if it's comp or not. Also, when it gets fixed does it really matter where it's covered?
