I agree with WTP-GC, most likely there is something else going on. The aluminum frame on the inside wall may have broken welds that cant be seen. All that can be seen at this point is the bottom of the aluminum wall frame where the wood has came loose. If it were mine I would want to place some additional gussets in on the steel frame while I had it apart just to ease my mind.
Well, it didn't go quite as planned. When it was repaired, the side still has a 1/16" flex in it. So now the slide has to come out as well as the interior panels in the forward bedroom around the slide and in the closet. You have voiced my fear. The rig will be gone for at least a week for them to take out the bedroom slide and panels to "apply more resin/glue higher up". However, in my mind they are looking for aluminum frame welds in the walls. This is really beginning to get to me now. I will let you guys know what they find/do when I can. Thanks for the conversation!
If people understand the differences between unibody and body-on-frame cars, our trailers are more like unibody. The steel frame flexes and the trailer helps resist that flex. Anyway failure at one point can also mean weakness someplace else. I suspect the steel frame needs to be stiffened. My fiver had too much flex when new and the frame was reinforced before any damage occurred, that was 5 yrs ago. The manufacturer even changed the frame design for new units.
