Potable Water Pipe

Need to replace the 1.5 inch pipe between the 2 water tanks on my trailer. The current pipe appears to be Black ABS pipe. Same with the gate drain valve and elbow fittings. Research shows that ABS pipe is not for potable water but Valterra makes ABS water tanks and fittings.? Research shows that PCV pipe is potable water compatable and Valterra does make PCV gate valves but I am worried the PCV pipe will break with the movement of the tanks.

I need some direction. Is there a potable water approved ABS pipe? I see the aquarium crowd uses ABS pipe, is it just a USA building code issue? Anyone used PCV pipe between their water tanks with success? Is ABS pipe toxicity overblown?
