power cords and options to carry

I fulltime and about once or twice a year I run into a place that is too far for my OEM 50 amp cord to reach. So I have carried a 50 amp extension ($$$) since I started fulltiming. I have 50-30 adaptors (dogleg) and also a 30-20 plug (just in case). I don't see the logic of carrying a 30 amp extension cord for use with a 50 amp system - You would need to practice energy management and would not be able to run 2 AC units with that setup.

I would recommend the cords with the handles - The 50 amp connections can be real sticky. Use di-electric grease or spray the connections with silicone to help.

My fiver came with the electric cord retrieval system which is great - but it can only hold the OEM cord. I use a dedicated milk crate for the extension and adaptors - keep it right inside the basement door.

I also carry several lengths of 50 ft water line as well as a couple short ones (10-15 ft). The short one is way easier to manage if the water spigot is right next to my rig's connection. I also carry a multi-outlet water connection to attach to the post spigot.

And sewer hose - I carry the normal 20 ft (?) hose plus 2 extensions. I have used one extension several times (including right now while in Florida for the winter) and 2 extensions once or twice. FWIW you can get hose caps for the extensions.

The cost can really add up when you start buying all the different types of dog bone adapters. I carry an additional 25' extension 50AMP cord, along with my 50-30, my 30-15 dog bones. I bought a MorStor manual cord reel for my primary cord, my extension cord has the strap handle with it (rolls up nice). I just keep the connections in a front storage compartment, my main cord is located in the pass thru.

Lowes, HD, Wholesale Electrical supply or AMAZON. Technically it's 3/6ga-1/8ga, But you may find 6/4ga for less.

I used a 50A temp power box cord for mine.

My local Home Depot carry 4/6 SOOW but itou can get it for less online.

I carry the 50amp that came with the 5th and a 30amp that I use at home when we travel a long distance. Both are put in the bed of the truck while traveling. Neither has been bothered at rest stops nor has the 30 amp when we are parked for over nite or long term. Easy in, easy out.

I must have about 75' of cable that I carry around. Needed it all a few times too, plus every adapter including one that will work on a marina 30amp post.
