Many of the bunkhouses are 14K/3K lb. dry weight units. As a beginner in fifth wheels, I bought a Grand Design 323BHS which weighs 12K/2K--the max for my 3/4 ton diesel. I didn't want to haul one of The Incredible Hulks--which is what many bunkhouse models are.
It's just as nice a trailer as I need, and we just love the outside kitchen. Our dealer and their GD sales rep had it to me 3 weeks from ordering, as I wanted that SuperSofa option--12' of couch/2 loveseats together.
