Start by buying yourself an orbital buffer and the best quality wax you can find. Save the rest of the money for camping.

Yep lay down a good wax like meguires tech wax 2 (really a surface protection) then use protect all to touch up. Both products are easy on AND off and give spectacular results. Both can be done with towel or microfibres. Buffer not needed.

I fell for the same so calle" protection package" on my previous class C coach. The exterior did not hold up much past the first year of facing the outside weathert elements. Never again will I fall for this extra profit for the dealership.

If the product is Xzilon coating then it is worth it. This stuff really works. Boeing has been using it for years on aircraft. I am retired from the aviation industry and I know that aircraft that are coated with it produce less drag, stay cleaner longer and are much easier to wash. I had it applied to my new Cardinal and really am happy with it. Bugs just wash right off and the same with tree sap and bird droppings plus if you have vinyl decals it will provide protection to them.

We got a package like that for our new truck last year but it included "detailing". The surface was cleaned and "detailed" when we bought it and we can take it in once a year for a detailing. It looked pretty good when we got it back after our first time but I think the results depend on the quality of the service people. It might be worth the money, whatever it is, if they include "detailing" for all the years of the warranty.

Have the Xzilon on my wife's 4 year old Subaru. Looks like it just came out of the showroom. You can purchase it from them and do it yourself.

Ditto on the Xzilon; we have it on the truck.. But, ReJex is the absolute best protectant I have ever used. Goes on and off like liquid wax, but better than any wax I've ever used and I've tried most over the years. I'll never use anything else.. Www.rejex.com for details

I bought an exterior package on mine in 2005 that was supposed to protect the finish and eliminate black streaks. My 5er was mostly white with metal skin. After a few years I noticed the finish was yellowing when I used some simple green to remove a stain and left a very noticable white spot where I had applied the SG. Well I just finished going over the entire RV and removing that protective coat and rewaxing. Whew, what a job.
