All BS for the China bombs. Only failure I ever had was a US made GY Marathon and I have towed well over 250000 miles. There are millions of Chinese ST tires on the road and a handfull of issues that I would guarantee you are caused by under inflation or sidewall impact. Primewell is a brand made for Firestone by GT Radial....largest Chinese tire producer.
If I had a trailer used for local travels, I'd give them a try just to see how they'd do. I agree with you on the under inflation and impact damage but, I think age is probably the biggest culprit. I don't even know how many times I've heard "the tires are fine, they have plenty of tread on them" yet they're 8 years old or more. Curious what brands you've had good luck with and for how many years. Part of me says the Primewells would probably be fine. Especially being E rated and our 5th wheel being 8500~ lbs. The other part of me doesn't want to be the test pilot.
