problem with day nite shades

We have a 2008 Crossroads Seville 38 ft 5th wheel. Our problem is the day/nite shades are extremely hard to raise and lower. Even lowering the day shade is very difficult. Does anyone have a solution to this problem.

    Yep, that's what I'd try first. Just loosen each screw slightly as you're holding on to the end of the string. It won't take much to make it right if that's the problem.

    If they have always been hard to move, the strings are probably too tight. Just loosen the screw where the strings attach to the window frame and take a little tension off.

    Sounds like you need to replace the grommets and string.The grommets
    wear through and bind on the string and wear it out
