I've adjusted it to the medium setting and now the locking bar is moving further over than before and i can easily insert the cotter pin into the handle to lock the bar into place. However, it is still not where it is suppose to be. I will apply some grease today and see if that helps. Decmo customer support has been great by the way.
Ok, so the height adjustments should have nothing to do with how the hitch latches. That adjustment is to assist making the 5th wheel level, and adjusting the clearance between your bedrails and the underside of the 5th wheel. Ideally, you want about 6" of space.
If the pin is closing enough to get the cotter pin, then you are good. if it goes in beyond that, you cant put the pin in??
