I dunno. I never got a chance to try it before I converted to natural gas. I was told it would work, but I don't know for sure. All I have left hooked up to propane is my hot water heater. It's the only appliance I couldn't convert to NG. I assumed I could just hook a 20# cylinder up to it. The fitting is correct, but to your point the fuel delivery may not be.
