I'm confused about people claiming a pull test stresses the rig:
- You raise the landing gear just barely off the ground, so a successful test doesn't stress the landing gear at all.
- If your hitch or brakes are "stressed" by a pull test, I would certainly hate to do a hard brake on the road which will stress then far more.
Now if you do a brake test and the rig falls on the ground from 1/4" off the ground at around 1 mph...your alternative is the landing gear is 1-2ft off the ground and you are cruising down the road at 30-60mph. I know which one I would rather have happen.
