I leave my handle padlock sitting on the top of my tool box on the drivers side so I don't forget to lock the handle. After backing into the hitch I get out and lock the handle before doing anything else. I have a system as mentioned earlier and I have a step by step way of doing it. I always have my wife check the outside things I am responsible for and I check her inside things. If I drop my RV it WILL be my fault and I will post it on here if I do.
