Now you have something in the way of hitching correctly making you raise the pin box a little higher to miss the Butch's latch. Now a fix can cause the problem.
What are you talking about. :h The slider bar of the Butch's services safety gets slid in behind the king pin (like down on the angled part) AFTER the hitch is latched in around the king pin. Please explain, i think you may be misleading some folks here.
