My first hitch was. Pullrite Superglide once it was hitched the handle would click and latch. You could tell by looking at it, it was locked.
Now I have a B&W manual companion slider. Also once hitched and locked you can tell by looking at it.
I do a pull test anyway. These are all mechanical moving parts and like anything subject to failure. It just takes a minute to do a pull test so I do.
