Pulling car behind 5er

Glad to see he decided not to bring the utility trailer along too, although it's a shame the motorcycle, boat and ATVs had to stay home. :)

In Kansas I see Snowbirds going south towing cars & small suvs behind 5ers on I-135. I have never seen one involved in an accident. I would not want to pull a train that long personally.

A friend has one of those and I was surprised by how roomy the interior is. He pulls it behind his Monaco Diplomat MH.

He runs around town in it and I'm starting to see more of them around.

Maybe they are on a long distance move and that road legal go kart is too uncomfortable. Don't try it here, the law takes a real dim view of non commercial double towing. It is legal in many jurisdictions but that does not it advisable

Could be a couple living full time who both work. Or trying to save fuel. Many reasons to have 2 vehicles. Personally I'd have the second person drive the car and skip the long tow. But that's me.

Its probably safe to say its not a bumper hitch but a long section of frame thats doubled up,if the frame is big enough I have seen a gold wing hoisted on a lift behind a trailer.

Not sure,but there's discussion about whether these frames are strong enough to pull another vehicle,even a small car.

Plus the question of voiding the FW warranty by drilling holes,installing bolts or welding on the frame is always there.

In addition,and this is just me,why not use the TV to get around instead of pulling a car?

It's a car - it's got 4 wheels,an engine,carries two people,has windows and a steering wheel- it's a car. Not the biggest or heaviest car,but it's a car.
