Wow, yes, I know all the rules and regulation. No, I don't EVER drive around empty or towing, thinking I won't be pulled over:R. At 65 yrs of age and towing and rv'ing for the last 40+ yrs, Ive thought all this out very carefully. We own property in WVa already set up with, city water, 250 amp service and septic. Willstay there from March thru Thanksgiving, In colder months, we'll more than likely go to TX and visit son and family.
I tow an almost 40' 5er now, loaded to 16,300 with a pin weight of 3460. Im STILl under my trucks GVWR by a little over 1100#. So I'm WELL under my trucks RAWR of 9750# by alot. If pin weight goes to 4460#, I'd still be under my trucks GVWR. As far as GCWR, my truck is rated for 37,500#. Until I get weighed, If I loaded to 20,000#, I'd only be at a little over 29,000#GCWR. So I just need to learn how to take corners wider.
To the last two posters, I see one of you lives on esrth and the other in California. ..you have no information on what you tow and what you're towing it with, kinda hard to figure out how much you really know on the topic. Seems you dont want us to have your information??
