From my checking around it depends on why you want it. I wanted one to replace our 3-step on our toyhauler. However, after checking dimensions it appears that the overall drop was a minimal change. Most of the change was from step-to-step, not from trailer to ground. So we haven't spent the money.

Just depends on whether you want shorter distance between steps or overall closer to the ground at the last step.

We put one on last summer. It said it was 27" wide and our opening was 27 1/2", but it has a rod that made it wider. We had to take it to a shop to cut the rod and weld on a washer to hold it in place. After that it was shimming it in place to install, that was the easy part.
