Newbie on the board here! :)
Interesting to find this as the newest post. My dad's RV is in the shop and the guy who owns the place advised him not to buy anything made in the last 2 years because demand has been so high and so sudden that the manufacturers are hiring less and less skilled labor to meet demand.
I'm having a tough time figuring if this is true and sure hope it's not as I"m in the market. Sigh. But your post is an experience that matches that statement. Anyone else have thoughts on this idea of increased demand and lowering quality?
Thanks!

Absolutely. I live 70 miles from the 'RV Capital of the United States'. There is no unemployment there. If you have a pulse and can get to work more than 3 days a week, you have a job and it shows and Forest River has to be the worst offender of no quality control, but then, they are all bad. Some are just worse.
My unit was built just before all heck broke loose and I have had ZERO ISSUES.
Not planning on buying another until the bottom falls out of the market (and it will) and builders get flush with units and start building them properly again.
Right now is not the time to buy a new anything.
IT'S PROBABLY GONNA BE JUNK
Exactly. Not to mention dealers are spending a ton of money building new service centers. I'd bet they are making more from the service than selling RVs.
