Have you tried calling the factory to see what they can do to get these issues taken care of? Give Chris Morris in Service a call at Forest River in Rialto, CA - (909)873-3777.
Not yet. Really it's all surface stuff and I have an appointment in 2 weeks to drop it off and get the stuff fixed. I'm fine with it and really it was expected, and should get fixed. I also paid the $250 for the 2nd year extended warranty. I figure by the end of 2 years I'll have all the bugs worked out. I knew that going in but it's still a symbol of how they industry is right now.
You'd think they'd realize that the costs of all the warranty work would be less if they just had a quality control department to inspect and fix before delivery to the dealer. And yes the dealer should have done a better job on their PDI.
I did go to my local dealer and they showed me the same model trailer and they actually let me look at it before their clean up, it wasn't even on the lot yet, still had bugs from the drive from the factory. I was amazed how messy it was. They had stuff everywhere, wasn't even close to clean, sawdust and stuff right on the counter.
