Question on the DVD player in the 5th Wheel...

Which TV do you have? Component often refers to a 3 wire component input with separate connections for red, green and blue, marked Y,Pb and Pr. My TV has both the 3 wire component input as well as a separate individual 'Composite' Y input next to the red/white audio inputs.

Your stereo has both a Y video input as well as a Y video output connection. Is it possible the TV is connected to the input rather than the output?
