The axle tube on a std leaf spring suspension will not collapse from jacking against it. Nor will the jacks cup cause the axle to collapse or bend.
Axle makers warn not to jack under the axle tube as some newby not knowing where to place the jack may jack out toward the center of the axle bending the axle (too much camber bow).
Jacking under the end of the axle tube close to the U bolt is only lifting the weight the tire is holding....not the whole side of the trailer.
