Rancho 9000's or Bilsteins?

I have a Ford F250 Quad Cab Short Bed now pulling a 2014 FR Heritage Glen FW. While connecting my Pullrite Super Slide I noticed that my rear shocks outer-case covering the rams are rusting away. So Adjustable 9000's pr Bilsteins? Any thoughts and opinions would be helpful. Also not sure if I need air bags or not, seems to ride failry level but that was unloaded. We are beginning o transfer our stuff from our TT to the FW.

Happy Trails
  • I cant speak for Rancho . We have Bilstein 4600 monotubes on our F250 and they made a huge difference while travelling over bridges and general overall towing. My vote is Bills.
  • Bilsteins. Never Rancho anything.

Bilsteins are a monotube design for better performance.

Rancho now makes a monotube, but the classic RS5000/9000 are twin tube shocks. If you want their competitor to Bilstein, look for a monotube design in the description.

Monroe also offers a monotube, as does KYB (Gas-a-just and Monomax).
