Talk to anyone that has been there done that and you will find out you will not win. Paying lawyers is just money down the drain.
And here sadly is another news flash. When that president of the associations term is up another one will replace him.
When the new president is in office he can and they often do, change the rules and the majority rules and again sadly MH owners are the minority and they can pass even stricter rules. And unlike country zoning they never include 'grandfathered' in situations, simply because the HOA has the final word.
Which is why many home owners will NEVER live in an area with HOA's even if they think the EXISTING rules are acceptable to their lifestyle because the association rules can and often change leaving many home owners in the lurch. There are reports of home owners being screwed by hoa associations every day in the news.
One story that comes to mind TODAY being Veterans Day is the veteran who put out an American flag on veterans day and was instructed to take it down.......the HOA had a NO flags can be displayed on property rule, NO exceptions.
