As noted until you share what the CCR's actually say we are all just speculating. Sounds like you have been pushing the envelope and I am not surprised they are pushing back. For the record I live in an adult community with very strict CCR's that are enforced. We are permitted to have the RV at our property for a maximum of 72 hours to load, clean whatever. I respect this rule as the streets are narrow (don't have the luxury of the OP's long driveway), and the rig is rarely out front for even 24 hours. I can't imagine that any RV "Needs" to be out front for much more than ours is.
Bottom line the CCR's were in place when you moved in and you signed agreeing to abide by them as written not subject your interpretation. Getting an attorney might make you feel better now but in the end only the attorney and the HOA will win and you will end up paying the rather substantial freight. Best of luck and keep us posted. :C
The unwritten agreement I had with the board was 72 hours. And all but once I've stuck to that. So something has changed. Maybe it was bunching up trips where the camper was coming and going over the course of 3 weeks and it probably seemed like it was there a lot. Dunno...I'll find out what's it's about.
