Living in a HOA that does not allow any parking on the street between the hours of 10pm and 6am, and does not allow RV parking on property, I do understand your issue.
We however checked with the management prior to purchasing our 5er and were told we could park it out front after hours if we don't abuse the privilege.
We bring home our trailer the night before leaving, cool down the fridge, load it, and are gone the next day. The trailer interior is cleaned at the campsite so we just tow it back to storage when returning home. There are times when we do bring it home to unload, but the trailer is put back in storage that evening.
I'm sorry to disagree with you, but 4-6 days seems a bit excessive to me to need to have your trailer at home. You mention maintenance, couldn't you do that in a day and bring it back to storage after completed prior to the trip? Or do your prep and maintenance the same day? I know it's an inconvenience to you, but it's better than the alternative.
For the last nine years I have found working with the HOA is better than working against them. I email them every time a trip is planned to let them know the vehicle will be out front. I still receive "tickets" on occasion, but those are from the board members doing their duty. HOA management has yet to take any action. I believe that is because I don't abuse my privilege. BTW, our trailer is out front ~12-14 nights a year, once for each trip we take.
Hope you have a positive outcome on this situation.
