INterstate Batteries put on a presentation a while back. Their recommendations were:
1. AT end of season - Switch batteries off.
2. Pull batteries, clean battery boxes and clean all connection points and cabling - neutralize the connections and battery post.
3. Store Batteries at home in warm garage.
4. We have AMG batteries - so they recommend recharging once a month through the winter vs using a trickle charger - About 2-4 months for us.
5. We have another 12V battery that we use if we need some electrical power.
6. Come spring: Check Boxes, Check cables. Clean and then once installed - spray on some protectant to prevent corrosion.
