Depends on what accomodations you will have on the road. If you will have stays along the way with water/electric for example, then you really won't need to carry a lot of on board water. We always carry some, just in case...you never know if you will run into situations beyond control that will limit your resources. May not need to carry full tank, but IMHO carry some on board just in case!
