The original hitch was ratted a teeni tiny bit over the stated GRVW. The dealer and manufacturer assured me that it was more than adequate. It did the job it was supposed to do and didn't launch my fifth wheel.
And yes, I'm going to a higher rated hitch this time, just because.
And I didn't say there was no damage to the fifth wheel. As best I and the shop can tell, the only damage was fortunately cosmetic.
